Why No Degree?

I initially enrolled in college not know what I wanted to do, and took C++ because it seemed like a good language to learn. This accompanied by upper maths courses became less fun than I originally hoped for. I had started learning web design on my own and pretty much fell in love with it. Once I began taking on a few freelance clients and found out that I could learn on my own and make someone happy with a final product, and on top of that they would pay me for it, I was sold.

I never acquired a two-year or any other degree type because I had found my calling. I began working day and night to learn all that I could and drove myself to be sought and hired into the web development field after only a year. I found my passion and it was outside of the education system, therefore I left and pursued this career which I thoroughly enjoy.

I mean, how many people go to work all day, and come home to continue work, or spend time on personal projects of the same genre until the wee hours of the night? Not many I would bet, which is why I know I am where I belong.
